Tammara Webber's "Easy"

This book I read because my friend Becca, aka the Book and Cat Librarian, was livid about the fact some ninny plagiarized it. Plagiarism! Anyway, I decided that I would give the book a try, even if it is called "Easy" and features your token tattooed-but-not-a-bad-boy boy.

From Goodreads:

Rescued by a stranger.
Haunted by a secret
Sometimes, love isn’t easy…

He watched her, but never knew her. Until thanks to a chance encounter, he became her savior…

The attraction between them was undeniable. Yet the past he’d worked so hard to overcome, and the future she’d put so much faith in, threatened to tear them apart.

Only together could they fight the pain and guilt, face the truth—and find the unexpected power of love.

A groundbreaking novel in the New Adult genre, Easy faces one girl's struggle to regain the trust she's lost, find the inner strength to fight back against an attacker, and accept the peace she finds in the arms of a secretive boy.

This was actually a pretty good book. It has a few important lessons about being safe, self defense, taking control of your life . . . and sexy times! So good stuff.

A favorite non-spoilery quote:

"I had to stop linking every single thing that happened to me with Kennedy. Realization dawned then, that he was still my default. Over the past three years, we'd become each other's habit. And though he'd broken his habit of me when he walked away, I'd not broken my habit of him. I was still tethering him to my present, to my future. The truth was, he now belonged to my past only, and it was time I begun to accept it, as much as it hurt to do so."

(That's a non official video, but I like it better than the official video. Enjoy!)
